Messianic Jew or Messianic Gentile

First of all, any born again Christian is Messianic. Meaning that he/she believes that Jesus Christ is Lord God and the prophesied deliverer of Israel and all believers.
But there are does who believe born again believers should not forsake some old testament rituals or commands because God commanded that they should be followed.

This same question was brought up in Acts 15 where Jewish Christians wanted the Gentile Christians to follow Mosaic law. Peter explains why the laws were no more required to be obeyed,
"why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear?" 10
The end decision was this recommendation,
"It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality." 28,29

Old Testament New Testament New Rule Notes
Keep the Sabbath Jesus and the disciples broke Sabbath rules. Jesus is considered our Sabbath and He is our rest. The spiritual rest (Jesus) replaces the physical rest. Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. Col.2:16 Historically, Christians did not continue the Sabbath after the resurrection but gathered on Sunday.
To continue Old Testament laws is actually an offense to God since it is saying Jesus did not fulfill God's requirements and so we must do it in His place.

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Mat. 5:17
Jesus said He would fulfill the law because we cannot.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.

Notice that the laws were just a shadow and Christ is the reality.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Gal. 3
Clearly we are no more under the law neither do we have to follow it.
